Playing Games
This guide describes the gaming experience from the member's perspective. Understanding this flow will help you see what your customers experience and how to optimize it.
Accessing a Game
Members can access games in several ways:
- From their dashboard in the member portal, where they see active campaigns
- Through a direct link to the campaign landing page
- By scanning a QR code that takes them to the campaign
- By entering a PIN code received on a purchase receipt
Spin the Wheel
The spin the wheel experience goes like this:
- The member sees the wheel with all prize segments visible
- They click the Spin button (or swipe on mobile)
- The wheel spins with a smooth animation for a few seconds
- The wheel stops on a segment
- A result screen appears:
- If they won: the prize is displayed with a celebration animation and a button to view details or redeem
- If they did not win: an encouraging message like "Try again tomorrow!"
- The prize (if any) is automatically added to their account: points to their balance, coupon to their coupons section, etc.
The wheel is designed to build anticipation. The spinning animation, sounds, and result reveal create an exciting experience that members want to repeat.
Scratch Card
The scratch card experience:
- The member sees a card with a surface to scratch
- They swipe their finger (mobile) or mouse (desktop) over the surface
- The layer is gradually revealed
- When enough surface has been scratched, the full result is automatically revealed
- The result screen appears:
- If they won: shows the prize with animation
- If they did not win: an encouraging message
- The prize is automatically added to their account
The scratch card works especially well on mobile, where the scratching action with a finger is natural and intuitive.
Trivia
The trivia experience:
- The member sees a welcome screen with the game rules
- They click Start
- The first question is presented with the answer options
- They select an answer:
- Correct: the option highlights in green and adds points
- Incorrect: the correct answer is shown in green
- They move on to the next question
- After completing all questions, they see the results screen:
- Number of correct answers
- Points earned
- Prize obtained (based on the number of correct answers)
- Option to share their result on social media
What Happens When You Win a Prize
Depending on the prize type, the flow differs:
Points
Points are automatically added to the member's balance. They can see them reflected immediately on their dashboard.
Discount Coupon
The coupon appears in the Coupons section of the portal. The member can:
- View coupon details (amount, conditions, expiration date)
- Show the coupon code or QR in store to redeem it
- Use it online if the eCommerce integration is active
Physical Prize
The member receives a confirmation and can check the delivery status in the Rewards section.
Experience
The member receives instructions on how to enjoy the experience (reservation, date, location...).
Participation Limits
If the campaign has participation limits, the member will see:
- Remaining participations: "You have 2 participations left today"
- Campaign exhausted: "You have used all your participations" with an indication of when they can play again
- Campaign ended: "This campaign has ended" if the end date has passed
Social Media Sharing
After playing, the member can share their experience:
- Social media share button (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp)
- Customizable message with the result
- Link to the campaign so their friends can also participate
